ntelligent Motion Control System    YouTube pdf

IMCS is a cost and time effective solution to implement complex and high-performance motion control/test systems or prototypes. It constitutes a family of ready-to-use hardware and firmware components which use a modular and distributed intelligence approaches. A bespoke solution can be quickly and easily assembled from these components, corresponding to a particular combination of actuators and sensors.

Control Driver (dsPIC33EP)  YouTube  pdf
Control Driver (PIC32MK) in development

CD is an autonomous controller DSP-CPLD based which combine all the functions necessary to control one actuator or customized applications as:  Opto I/O, isolated CAN and RS485 (Modbus or synchronization), USB/RS232/TTL interface, isolated high performances ADC and DAC, I2C bus, programmable digital interface based on the CPLD's technology etc.

Modular Test Interface  YouTube(LEM)   YouTube(MTI) pdf

MTI is a cost effective set of test interfaces (modules) between tested unit and measure equipment. It includes common module as voltage, current, differential types but also easy to be customized. All modules are based on high performances components and provide a galvanic isolation including common supply (5Vdc). Applications: cost effective test set-up, educative element to practice: sensor adjustment, calibration, different technologies and their performances.

Following customer's requirement the IMCU's design was simplified for short serial manufacturing. It includes functions as power amplifier and large protection's sub-system only necessary for defined application.

RS232 to 1wire (LIN) interface

Avionic quality, RS232/UART to 1wire (LIN) interface to mesure temperatures in different points of a complex mechatronic system.

After PhD on the control of linear motor and decades of my worldwide professional activities in Poland, France, Switzerland and UAE, I’ve decided to share my experiences as an independent consultant. These experiences were essentially in relation with R&D domains at different structures: such as the Silesian University of Technology in Poland or research units and institutes as Inria, INPG and Acroe in France.

The main focus was always to make relation and facilitate
technology transfer between research and its implementation as an advanced prototype, high performance scientific or industrial instruments.

My last activities at CSEM have especially given me large opportunities to be involved in
exciting projects. They required large endeavours but provided me a lot of satisfactions and a valuable technical evolution in collaboration with partners as Caltech, Keck Observatory, IAC, NASA or DSI.

CSEM gave me also the opportunity to be project manager to implement the Innovation Centre (CSEM-UAE) in
UAE including mechatronic activities. That was an interesting two-year (administrative restrictions) adventure which have developed personal human relations and teaching aspects.

My activities included also a continuous development of products based on the concept of the distributed intelligence. The developed products as IPA (Intelligent Power Amplifier), IPA-ALL and IMCU at CSEM (see related presentations) have the same objective to integrate
“local” control (DSP) and power amplifier/s into one autonomous unit. This development progressed following new available technologies but also integrated devices as programmable CPLD, new generation of the DSP, sensor converters etc.

If you are developing any
simple control system or a large and complex application, I can either provide you my piece of advice or participate actively in the development, design, manufacturing of PCBs, control part, mechatronic integration, test set-up or R&D prototypes. Knowing my large international and verified subcontractor’s network and small administrative structure I could be also useful to optimize your R&D global cost and delivery time.
